Celebrating Our Veterans' Service

In the year 1919, Woodrow Wilson declared November 11th as Armistice Day, as a reminder to Americans of the tragedies of war. In 1938, the day became a federal holiday and later became known as Veterans Day.
The sole purpose of Veterans Day is to remember and honor both men and women who have served in the United State armed forces. America's veterans have given their time and risked their lives to serve and protect their country. Many have even died in doing so, which is the reason why it is so important to remember, and celebrate our veterans' service to our country.
Because of the incredible risk that veterans take, the citizens of America think of them as more than just those who fought in the armed forces; we, as a people, consider them heroes. A hero is one who is admired for showing bravery, loyalty, and leadership qualities...
