Summary: Essay explores the issue of racism in the United States.
The dictionary definition of racism is prejudice or discrimination against a group of people because of various physical appearances. Some examples include color of skin, nationality, culture, language, etc.
In my world nowadays, racism is everywhere I turn. I find it at school, where people think it's funny to make fun of me because I look different; on the streets, where I feel like everyone stares; and even at church, where race isn't supposed to matter.
First and foremost, school is a place to learn. Although many people may have different religions, race is a big deal because I look different.
