One of the most noted generals and leaders of the BC era is Alexander III of Macedonia. In his lifetime, he conquered almost all of the known world. The known world of this time was only a part of the land actually in the world. The land that Alexander conquered stretched from Greece and Egypt in the west to the Indus River in the east (Iftikhar et al 647). He spread a new culture across these conquered lands along his way. Alexander's massive accomplishments will earn him the title "Great."
