Rebuilding Germany Under Streseman

Germany had been severely weakened by the war and desperately needed to be re-built. Between 1918 and 1929 many problems were to be faced. On the 7th of May 1919 while Germany was still attempting to restore their economy they were presented with the treaty of Versailles, expecting the Germans to lose ten per cant of her land, al of her over seas colonies, 12.5 per cent of her population, 16 per cant of her coal fields and almost half of her iron and steel industry, not only this her army was to be reduced to 100,000 men it could have no air force and a tiny navy. But above all of this Germany was expected to take full blame for the war and pay the reparations for the damage she had caused.
