Barbara Cohen is the author of a book called Unicorn in the Rain. The main character in this book is a young women named Nicole, or Nikki for short, which she prefers to Nicole. Unicorn in the Rain is a book writen in first person point of view. The overall theme of this story would have to be about second chances.

Second chances was the theme of Unicorn in the Rain because it seemed like Nikki, Sam, and the rest of Sam's family were getting a chance to live and make a better life out of the one they started out with. Nikki's life wasn't all to great. She had just come out of a bad relationship,and she is sort of a drugy.
