Summary: Essay discusses if Lady Macbeth is really a tragic hero.
Lady Macbeth is shown as a tragic hero in the novel Macbeth. As a tragic hero she shows a strong ambition, tragic flaws, and power over her citizens. Her main flaw became a willingness to succeed without being caught. It wasn't long before she realized her guilt. Culminating in Lady Macbeth committing suicide, jumping off of a building.
Once Macbeth's letters were sent to Lady Macbeth announcing Macbeths prophesies from the witches greeting him soon to become thane of Cawdor and king of Scotland. Lady Macbeth was then enticed and ready to pursue her ambitions. Her ambitions included power over ruling her citizens and a willingness to succeed without being caught. Part of Lady Macbeth's flaw throughout the play manipulates Macbeth into killing his cousin Duncan. She continuously persuades Macbeth questioning his manhood and love for her. He is than influenced to commit a crime he is uncertain...
