Catherine Corley Anderson wrote John F. Kennedy Young People's President. She graduated from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago with honors, and attended and studied at the Goodman Theater School of Performing Arts. She did graduate work at the University of Chicago, Northwestern University, and St. Xavier College. She taught art until she became and instructor at the Chicago Park District. She founded the Chicago Marionette Company (for puppet shows). She also wrote plays, poems, articles, and songs. She took an interest in Kennedy's life and decided to write the book (the fifth book she had written). She currently lives in St. Louis with her husband and two children.
