Summary: This essay is a review on the novel "Mirror of Merlin" by T.A. Barron.
T.A. Barron writes The Mirror of Merlin the novel. I chose this novel because it is the fourth part of the "Lost Years of Merlin" epic. The author says he is writing about the young Merlin not the elder one. He also says he is writing from imagination not history, so I think the genre of the story is fantasy.
The story begins in a vast grassland, which people who live there named it the Summer lands, young Merlin is there with his deer woman friend named Hallia. Meanwhile in a haunted marsh Nimue, an evil sorceress, is scheming to destroy Merlin and rob him of his powers. Nimue sends a bird to steal Merlin's magical sword known as the Excalibur. Knowing this Merlin chases after his sword until in he ends up in the haunted marsh. In the haunted marsh he encounters a group of deadly...
