King Tutankhamun was an Egyptian pharaoh who ruled from circa 1333 to 1323 B.C. His virtually intact tomb was discovered by Howard Carter in 1922. Inside the tomb Carter found many artifacts. When Tutankhamun's tomb was found our knowledge of Egyptian culture and beliefs increased dramatically. Overall Tutankhamun is one of the most famous Egyptian pharaohs because of the finding of his tomb.
King Tutankhamun was an Egyptian pharaoh who ruled from circa 1333 to 1323 B.C. His parentage is debated but as of current most historians believe that he was the son of Akhenaten, the ruler whom Tutankhamum succeeded, and Kiya, a lesser wife of Akhenaten.
