I read a book called Emma by Jane Austen. It has four hundred and forty eight pages. The setting of the story takes place mainly in Highbury and in the early 1800s.

The main character of the story is Emma Woodhouse. Emma always thinks that she knows everything about others, and what's right for them. She is snobbish because she considers herself on a plateau above almost everyone. Emma is compassionate and has helped many people overcome obstacles. She is forgiving for she has condoned many atrocious people. Miss Woodhouse is understanding because she has helped many people with incidents that no one else thought about.

The climax of the story is when Emma realizes that she has feelings for Mr. Knightley. Previously, she had always thought that the only people she loved were her relatives. However, now she was unsure. Emma was glad that Mr. Knightley didn't...
