Zeffirelli adds many scenes which enhances the overall flow of the play. Unlike the play, where Tybalt is seen walking towards Romeo, Romeo runs after Tybalt to avenge the death of his good friend, Mercutio. This adds a revengeful feeling to the movie. This addition not only makes the scene make sense, but is also an important place to mark in the play. This is a significant turning point in the flow of events which perpetuated the sense of drama.
