The Qualities of Romeo

"The Tragedy of Romeo and Juliet", play written by William Shakespeare, maintains our interest in the main character through repeated evidences of Romeo or Juliet's good qualities. Romeo and Juliet, the two lovers main characters of the play, fall in love at first sight. However, Romeo and Juliet, a pair of star-crossed lovers, come from two families, Montagues and Capulets, who have hated each other for generations. In spite of the feud between the two families, Romeo and Juliet show their passionate love for each other. The two view love so innocently that the audience and the readers are drawn to their naivety and the pureness of their thought, feeling pathos for the characters as their maturity leads them to isolation and their subsequent demises. The play is able to attract the audiences by portraying the good and bad characteristics of Romeo, such as his impetuousness, his stubbornness...
