Analysis of the Character of Boxer in "Animal Farm"
Summary: Essay is an analysis of the character of boxer in "Animal Farm" by George Orwell.
One goal most of the animals on Animal Farm wish to achieve is to be committed hard workers, or, they want to be like Boxer. They want to have a productive and well - constructed farm. Most of them works according to their capacity and put in their fair share. Boxer - the carthorse, however, does much more than what is needed. He always strives for more - his personal motto being "I must work harder."
Boxer plays an important role in "Animal Farm." He is hard working, reliable, a dedicated follower to Napoleon but was not of a "first rate intelligence." Indeed, he had a "somewhat stupid appearance." However, it is because of his qualities that Napoleon was able to use him and gain so much power.
A "huge beast nearly eighteen hands high", Boxer relies on his great strength and determination to gain respect and recognition...
