The Emergence of American Culture Traits
Summary: A description of American cultural traits as they emerged in American society throughout colonization.
The very beginnings of American history, in all aspects of it, were most greatly influenced by the country that had served as its sovereign for about 200 years. As almost all of America's people came from the sovereign country of England, it is accurate to say that many of the cultural traits present during the colonial period and after would be notably similar. However, the fact remains that, in being a separate country from its once sovereign, the two sets of cultural traits would have many differences, pertaining to such circumstances as geography, atmosphere, and the sheer motivation for colonial emigration. The difference of culture from America to Europe emphasizes the freedom from sovereignty, as well as the desire for an unrestrained country.
