There are discouraging and difficult journeys filled with new things, difficult situations, confusion, and a loss of childhood innocence. The novel Bless Me, Ultima--written by Rudolfo Anaya, is about Antonio, a young boy who has to make his way into maturity and in doing so discovers the ghastly evil in the world.
