Summary: How the characters in the text deal with change
Benito Mussolini was born on the 29th of July, 1883, at Dova di Predappio, near Forli, Italy. Benito was undisciplined as a child; however, he demonstrated sharp wit and intelligence, as well as a powerful ego, from a young age. His father was a Socialist, and Benito listened intently whenever his father and his friends had political debates, he was a Socialist from a young age.
Benito joined the Italian Socialist Party (PSI) in 1900. He graduated with a teaching degree in 1901, and taught for a year in Gaultieri. He immigrated to Switzerland in 1902 (allegedly in an effort to evade the compulsory military service) in order to find a permanent job. Instead, he became popular with the Italian Socialist extremists there, and was deported in July, 1903. However, by the end of the year he had returned, before the Swiss authorities discovered him again in December 1904, and exiled him.
