The Civil War was caused by and a logical reaction based on fundamental issues more then anything else. Fundamental issues shattered slavery and also preserved the Union. This made it possible for the nation to conquer and become vast and dominant. This made it possible for the nation to conquer and become vast and dominant. This would only happen if there were not so many troubles within the homeland of America. Slavery was tearing the country apart. Others would argue that economically we failed which resulted into a war. In the perspective of some other people, Northern industrialists and Southern planters sought to control the federal government in its own interest. There was no way that the United States could become the leading territory if we had so many issues, fundamentally, economically, and socially, within our own home.
