Who doesn't know Kelly Clarkson? Until not long ago, she was a nobody who lived in Burleson, Texas. How did she get her fame and fortune? She auditioned for American Idol, a newly created show in which young men and women between the ages 16 and 25 competed to win a free recording contract. Now the show has begun its second season, and from what the judges say, the talent is better than before.

First, do be a contestant on the show, you have to audition. When you arrive at the audition spot, you will be split up into groups, and a bunch of judges will decide who moves on. They pick out the really good and really bad auditions and move them on to Randy, Simon and Paula. Randy Jackson, Simon Cowell and Paula Abdul crush the bad auditions and move the good ones on to the Hollywood round...
