World War I and the War With Iraq
Summary: There were as many differences as similarities of World War I and United States' war with Iraq. Although there were many similarities to the causes as well as events of both the wars, the outcomes differed greatly.
Whether it is a World War or just national wars, there are many things that can trigger wars. What triggered the United States to enter World War I was that United States ship had sank, and it was all because of the Germans. Many people from Iraq wanted by the United States for wrongful acts; one of the top most wanted people is Saddam Hussein, President of Iraq. The causes of both wars were caused by the actions of a certain leader or president. The outcomes of World War I and the current war with Iraq are very different due to the time frame and the number of people involved. Germany's reparations payments for damages caused during World War I totaled 33 billion (Littell 422). The causes and events of World War I and the United States' current war with Iraq have many differences and similarities.
