The second world war left the United States and the Soviet Union economically, politically, and emotionally disinclined to face another world war. Both Countries were now the most powerful survivors of World War 2. However, there ideologies placed them in direct conflict. Neither could win and the world may or may not be big enough for the both of them. Nonetheless, N. Khrushchev emphasized the Soviet Union's intention when he said, " We will bury you (U.S.)." The following countries will illustrate how the Cold War was conducted.
