Issac Newton Biography

Isaac Newton was born in 1642 and died in 1727. He grew up to be a mathematician and physicist, and was said to be one of the "foremost scientific intellects of all time" He was born in Woolsthorpe, in Lincolnshire, and attended school at Cambridge University in 1661. After he graduated he became a Fellow of Trinity College in 1667, and then in 1669 he became a professor of Mathematics. He stayed at the college until the end of 1669 and during those two years he wrote a book called Philosophiae Naturalis Principia Mathematica and was published in 1687. Many people did not support many of Newton's ideas because they went against what the church believed in, that was until after the war of the Spanish Succession.
