Gay Couples' Rights
Summary: The essay argues homosexuals should have the right to adopt children.
In the development of civilization, human rights were established to abolish discrimination. However, discrimination based on race, colour, sex and sexual preference still exist. Even in certain countries, states, and provinces, where equality is spoken in pride, people with different sexual preferences are denied certain rights. One of the rights gay couples are denied of is adoption. With no reputable studies to prove that homosexual couples can affect a child emotionally, socially and psychologically, or their gender identity and gender role behaviour, gay couples should receive legal rights on adoptions, considering the large amounts of children that are being denied a loving and caring home.
