Summary: A short summary for 12 chapters in The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring by J.R.R Tolkein.
Chapter 1 pages 21-40: A long-expected party.

Gandalf the wizard came to Hobbiton in the Shire, for the 111 birthday of Bilbo Baggins. He met Bilbo's cousin Frodo. The party was great, there were a lot of people and a lot of food, and Gandalf brought the fireworks. Bilbo said his goodbye speech and disappeared when he put his ring on and left all his belongings to Frodo even the special ring.

Chapter 2 pages 41-63: The shadow of the past.

Gandalf went to search information on the ring. When Gandalf got back after some years he told to Frodo about the rings:

"Three rings for the Eleven-kings under the sky,
Seven for the Dwarf-lords in their halls of stone,
Nine for Mortal Men doomed to die,
One for the Dark Lord on his dark throne
In the Land of Mordor where the Shadow lie.
One Ring to rule them all...
