In war is it just a case that `anything goes' and moral rules no longer apply.
In the novel `Triage', written by Scott Anderson, the different ways people react in certain
situations and many themes relating to people's actions/morals in wartime are
introduced to us. Towards the end of the novel one of the main themes are strongly
expressed, this is whether anything goes and whether morals/rules do or do not apply
during wartime. Morals and rules are indisputably applied during wartime. They are what
separate the men from the animals. There is no extenuation from mankind for committing
an immoral action and no excuse either. Through the characters of Mark Walsh and
