Craving Freedom
Summary: This essay describes a place of importance to me.
High school is similar to a jail cell; chaotic, mind-numbing, and near freedomless. The ever flowing homework, the progressively harder tests, and the extreme lack of free time can put a student in a state of unrest. The moment I drag my melancholy corpse-like body through the parking lot and into the high school building, I cringe. I cringe as the musty stench from half-baked teenagers seems to jump off their clothes and into my nose, and I cringe as I walk into my first hour class to see my physics teacher already writing notes for, what will be, an hour long vector lecture.
The whole repetitious atmosphere of school makes me desire to be somewhere else; a place of unlimited freedom. I constantly find myself recollecting a place that I would rather be than high school. I can remember once that for three incredible months of my...
