Minor Characters Revealing Foreskin's Character in Foreskin's Lament

Foreskin is both an assertive spokesman of new values, and a symbol of the nation's identity crisis. He represents the major theme of the play, how do New Zealanders define their national identity when the old myths and the Lore, playing the game, are no longer relevant. The minor characters in the play, Tupper the old fashioned rugby coach, Clean the ambitious policeman, and Moira, Foreskin's intelligent, modern girlfriend, all reveal to us Foreskin's nature through their relationships and interactions with Foreskin.
Tupper reveals Foreskin's modern approach to rugby and the team, and Foreskin's `smart arse' behaviour. Tupper is the old fashioned coach of the rugby team. He is a stoic romanticist, and thinks that rugby is a test or yourself...
