Civilization progressed tremendously from MacBeth's time to Shakespeare's time to see what MacBeth was able to do for power. Did it really take four hundred years for people to see this? Greed is human nature, not developed but imbedded into human civilization. Power, money, and respect are something that everyone strives for. It's who takes it further to get what they want which makes people do horrible things to the human society. Many people throughout history have done things that had a deep impact on our civilization.
