"Mirror"
This poem is very unusual in that Sylvia Plath does not make the reader speculate what she is writing about in the beginning. This poem seems to be easier to interpret than most because of the great ways she used some of her words in translation to herself. The first stanza starts very self-explanatory and it is very clear after reading the title, and the first line of the poem, that she is first describing a mirror. Sylvia Plath makes it known that a mirror witnesses many things over the years, but some of her opinions are questionable. Taking the poem line by line the reader starts to realize that the mirror may be telling a story, or that someone may be describing their life through a mirror.
