Summary: American Revolution
Like other wars, the American Revolution was brewing prior to its actual
occurrence. Many factors played into how it actually began. The overpowering
mentality of the King of England was a major cause of the Revolution. Colonists
began developing laws on how they were going to run their government and they
didn't appreciate an absentee King dictating the rules to them. The controlling
manner of England and the laws and taxes imposed upon the colonists brought
about the occurrence of the American Revolution.
With the declining relationship between England and its colonies, the sight of revolution was near. February 10, 1763 the Treaty of Paris was signed granting England the right to all land east of the Mississippi. This agreement sought to bring peace among the English, colonists and the Indians, but instead it further enhanced the resentment between the groups.
