Input, Output and Storage Devices
Input devices on a computer include: keyboard, mouse, microphone, digital cameras, digital camcorders, scanners, touch sensitive screens, and graphic digitisers. (Graphic digitisers convert analogue images into digital images.)
OUTPUT
Output devices on a computer include: speakers, printers (inkjet, dot matrix, laserjet etc), monitor (visual display unit), graph plotter (draws very large drawings, like ocean liner plans that are one quarter actual size; ideal for images larger than A3/A2/A1 etc).
STORAGE DEVICES
There are now many possible ways to store data on a computer; whether directly onto a computer, or onto a disk.
Hard Drive: This is the computers internal storage device. As technology has progressed, the size of the hard drive has increased. The average hard drive size nowadays is 80Gb, the largest is a double 80Gb.
