Summary: Christopher Columbus - good or bad?
Society today recognizes the name Christopher Columbus as the man who changed the views, lifestyles, politics, and geography of the fifteenth century. Columbus discovered a world known to no man; he discovered the "New World." Society does not recognize the consequences that came with the discovery of this world. Biased history books blind many, where Columbus is depicted as a "great explorer," making friends with the natives and creating a wonderful new way of life for all. I too have been misguided in my education about Christopher Columbus. "Explore, discover and develop, or seek, destroy, and conquer."
