The development of a country is a complex process that can be affected by many factors, one of which is religion. Colonial America was greatly impacted by the role of religion within that society. For example the reason they felt they had the right to take over the land was based on their religious believes. In addition, religion played a role in how society viewed all women, how a lot of settlements were founded for religious purposes, their government revolved around religion, and how religion affected the medical community. Over all, religion greatly affected the everyday life of a colonist.
