The JROTC program at my school has a proud tradition of excellence. This year I was proud to carry on the legacy of my Battalion being designated Honor Unit with Distinction. At my school this year I am the Battalion Commander, which is the most distinguished position in the corps. It is a rare honor for a female to achieve this position. Some of my responsibilities as Battalion Commander are to command the Battalion at all Battalion formations, ensure adherence to the chain of command, and to make sure the Battalion runs smoothly.
