In Luther's understanding of God, he believes that God is free and in charge--let God be free, only He has the right to be God. To have God in your life meant that you trusted and believed in Him with all your heart. The center of Luther's theology lies in this statement, "If your faith and trust are true, you have the true God, too. On the other hand, where trust is false, is evil, there you will not have a true God either." This shows that God's acceptance could only be granted on faith alone because his power goes farther than any human intelligence. He felt that humans are creatures dependant upon God.
