"Go and open the door" is the initiative, the unknown. It is an exploration of the possibilities that lie beyond the unknown. It is an adventure. In the movie "The Matrix" Morpheus - which consequently in Ancient Greek mythology was the god of dreams - said to Neo "I can only show you the door, but you are the one whose going to have to walk through it." Here Morpheus is telling Neo that the choice is his and his alone. He has to be the one to initiate the change, to believe in himself, to walk into the unknown and to explore what lies beyond it.
