Euthanasia
Human life is precious. We should do everything possible to help people who are suffering. It is not up to us to decide who should live or die. Euthanasia is against the law and should be that way. Some societies have accepted different ways of euthanasia both legally and morally. In both ancient Greece and Rome euthanasia was allowed in some cases; euthanasia for the elderly was an approved custom. Islam, Judaism and Christianity condemn euthanasia because those religions hold human life sacred. As traditional religious principles, Western laws consider helping someone to die a form of homicide with the appropriate punishment. Even though it is immoral and against the law, euthanasia often happens secretly in many societies.
