The Growth Rate of Bacteria Under Different Lights
It is hypothesized that a fluorescent light will increase the growth rate of bacteria compared to a black light, darkness, and a control. The dependant variable is the growth rate of bacteria and the independent is the different lights.
When finished plating the agar and bacteria, they were put in a stored room at a set temperature of 70-75 degrees Fahrenheit. Three plates were put under a black light, three under a fluorescent light, three in complete darkness, and three in a controlled area.
