Star Wars, Religion, and Mythology: A Comparison

Summary: A discussion of the movie Star Wars, Religion, and Mythology.
In the movie Star Wars the characters thoroughly demonstrate a mythology.  Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia, Ben Kenobi, Han Solo, and Darth Vader all give different perspectives of their mythology.  Through these perspectives, I can compare the similarities between the mythology of the movie and the mythology that I follow myself.  It is these different perspectives that make the mythology what it becomes.

The mythology in Star Wars is called the Force.  Force is what gives the Jedi the power that surrounds them.  Like my own mythology, their is a light side as well as a dark side.  In each case, we are given the opportunity to choose what we want to do.  Luke Skywalker and Ben Kenobi represent the light side, the good, while Dearth Vader represents the dark side, the evil.  In the middle are Princess Leia and Han...
