Nicolas Poussin was a famous French philosopher; he was a 17th century French painter. Most of Poussin's works keep the key characteristics of the virtues of logic, order, and clarity. ("Poussin, Nicolas") Poussin has influenced French art, as it is known to date.
Poussin was born of a lower-class family in Les Andelys, Normandy in 1594. Poussin died in Rome in 1666. In 1612, Varin, whom was a wondering painter, brought Poussin to Paris, where he was in much despair. He studied with Varin, Lallemand, and Ferdinand Elle, all of who had no influence in the development of Poussin. Nothing more is known during his excursions in Paris. ("Poussin, Nicolas")
