Summary: Literary Analysis on All The Pretty Horses by Cormac McCarthy
    All the Pretty Horses is a story created by novelist Cormac McCarthy, set in 1949, Mexico.  Upset by the disappearance of cattle-ranching in their home state of Texas, two adolescents, John Grady Cole and Lacey Rawlins, leave their homeland on a journey to Mexico and earn jobs breaking horses at a highly respected ranch.  At this ranch, Cole meets, and becomes enamored with, an affluent young woman, Alejandra, and the two begin a clandestine  romance. When her father discovers the affair, he has Cole and Rawlins arrested and thrown into a savage prison where they are badly desecrated.  The two are released from jail by means of Alejandra's aunt, Alfonsa, who pays their bail.
