Why did a party that had 12 seats in 1928 have total power by August 1934? This is an important question that many Historians often find themselves asking. I however am going to be looking at the many events that took place before hand and how they contributed to the Nazis rise in power.

An important part of the Nazi rise to power happened way back in 1918 when Germany loss the First World War. Shortly after this the Treaty of Versailles was signed and an already struggling Germany, was put under more strain when the terms of the Treaty came to light. They had to pay £6,600,000,000 worth of reparations for the damages sustained in the war and many of their land and colonies had been taken away.
