Genetic Engineering: My Response
Summary: Genetic Engineering:
A genetic engineer is a scientist who combines or separates DNA from a plant or animal. They hope for the result to be a positive outcome meaning a longer shelf life, a larger plant, a juicier orange, or a plumper tomato. Genetic engineering can bring about negative and positive effects. It would be wonderful for scientists to eliminate diseases such as diabetes or cancer, however they shouldn't be using their knowledge to be creating blond hair blue eyes people. Scientist also should be cautious about harming plant life by genetically altering them.
As a scientist I strongly disagree with genetic engineering. I would try to stop other scientist from doing this because of all the health risks involved. I would also go to many food stores and tell them not to stock up on the genetically altered food and tell store owners and managers the harmful facts about...
