Hemingway - In Our Time
Nick in Hemingway's In Our Time experiences initiation or troubling events for which he finds solaces or comfort in camaraderie with friends and in nature. Often hid in camaraderie with friends allows the harsh moments to subside. Because Nick has found substance throughout his life in nature, he automatically turns to it for restoration and tranquility. The comfort is what keeps Nick going, and keeps him form being torn down by all of his bad experiences. Nick had made it through all of the thick and thin that he has been through.
