Summary: My essay is about athletes and how eating disorders can harm them.
     I am writing my health report on athletic induced eating disorders (A. I. E. D.).  It is hoped the reader will learn a little more about the subject of my report.

     In the United States, there are currently eight million people being treated for eating disorders.  It is believed that 15%-62% of athletes are suffering from eating disorders. Two of these disorders are anorexia and bulimia.  Anorexics eat very little because they fear they will gain weight.  Bulimics binge and then purge their food for the same reason.  Men account for 20% of bulimics and 10% of all anorexics.  Not all of the eight million people in the U. S. have eating disorders are athletes.
