Dividing Gap between the North and the South
Summary: Discusses issues between the North and the South leading up to the Civil WAr, discusses several causes of the civil war
At the beginning of American history, the settlers of the North and the settlers of the South had many differences. However, they all had a common history, most coming from England, or other European countries. Over the years, their different ways of life shaped them differently, and the history of their ancestors began to slowly fade. They connected themselves less and less with the other. Two specific issues that brought bad blood between them were the western expansion and the unequal industrial progress. These events brought up many small events that separated the North and the South, especially when it hurt the South's pride spot, slavery.
