These 95 Theses resulted in the excommunication of myself, and the ideas contained in this document gave force to the Reformation or the great religious revolt as some of you would like to call it. I was born in Eiselben, Germany on the 10th of November, in 1483 and died at the same place on the 18th of February, in 1546. Along side of King Henry VIII I helped in the revolt against the Roman Catholic Church. On the 31st of October, in the year of 1517, the vigil of All Saints', I Martin Luther nailed to the castle church door, which served as the "black-board" of the university, on which all notices of disagreements and high academic functions were displayed, my Ninety-five Theses.
