I took tenth grade English Honors because I hoped it would expose me to a little bit of challenging material. Ninth grade college prep English offered no challenge for me whatsoever, which indicates that neither would tenth grade college prep English. Still, this honors course, although it has a higher degree of difficulty and has its challenges at times, still seems somewhat effortless. And if I utilized my abilities to the slightest degree and simply ceased to be so slothful, I could have at least a ninety-five grade average with minimal application put into studying. I don't try very hard to do pretty well and get fairly decent scores on quite a few tests, quizzes, and other graded assignments, by doing just enough to get by.
