How to Deal with Anger Properly
Summary: This essay focuses on anger and how we as humans can control it.
Every single one of us has reached a point in our lives that we are so angry, we feel like we could actually maim someone. That doesn't necessarily mean we would, but at that moment (like when your sister takes your brand-new skirt and spills wine all over it) we could easily conceive of such a notion! This is one of the most interesting characteristics of anger: that, like love, it can make us to crazy things. There are many different ways that one can deal with their anger (so that it does not result in casualties!). In our group discussions we were able to discuss those anger-reducing behaviours which were most beneficial. As well, we discussed both the contrasting James-Lang and Cannon-Bard theories of anger, which are both plausible explanations for this particular emotion.
