November 25, 2003, was one of the most important days of my young life. The Nineteenth Annual Latin Chamber of Commerce Career Day was held that day at the Stardust Hotel and Convention Center. It was an educational and motivational event where more than three hundred hard-working students from all parts of Las Vegas were recognized for their efforts. All of us were there together, representing just one heritage, the Latino heritage, proud that we had come so far in our short lives. We were also proud to be given the opportunity to meet representatives of various businesses and organizations in Southern Nevada, spend the day with them, and gain valuable insight about our future careers.
