Conscientious Objection
Summary: This essay is about conscientious objection and how it cant work for any religion or anyone's personal morals. It also uses Muhammad Ali as an example.
Conscientious Objection is defined as someone who on the basis of religious or moral principles refuses to bear arms or participate in military service. So basically that's when someone says that they don't want to go into the army b/c it's against their religions. I do not believe that conscientious objection can be used unless the religion in question is and always been throughout history a peaceful religion. There are very few religions out their like that except for the Quakers.
On April 28, 1967 Muhammad Ali refused to join the armed forces. He did that b/c he believed that his religion, the same religion as the Taliban, is a peaceful religion and that did not want him to fight. The Taliban has that same religion of Islam.
